Every two months CWI puts together a themed list of wines to offer to national wine writers to give them the opportunity to taste and consider these wines for a recommendation in upcoming columns and wine features.

This ongoing activity was designed to keep California wines front of mind with the UK’s busy and influential wine press and to showcase the variety and quality of wines produced by winemakers in California’s myriad wine regions and ensure California stays front of mind.

May/June 2021 - California Rosé wines

July/August 2021 - California’s ‘B side’ wines: taking a look at wines the sunshine state is less well-known for

September/October 2021 – Sustainable California: Long known for embracing sustainable winemaking practices this celebrates some wineries renowned for their sustainable credentials

Nov/Dec 2022 – Focussing on California’s Coolest Winemakers: Featuring wines from a small number of very prominent California Winemakers

Jan/Feb 2022 – California Wines by the Can
