Sustainability has long been a keen focus for Steve Lohr, CEO and co-owner of J Lohr Vineyards & Wines. 2020 marked ten years since J. Lohr became one of the very first vineyards and wineries in the state to earn the Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing distinction from the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. Steve is on the Board (and was the Chairman from 2016-18) of the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance so it is something he is passionate and knowledgeable about. During this session in which he talks and tastes with a panel of UK wine industry experts, he helps to untangle the sometimes murky cross over between 'organic' farming and sustainable farming and examine how and why the US Wine industry should adopt sustainable practices across the board.
